The Government of Karnataka has brought essential services for common man like Ration / Food and Civil Supplies under the ambit of Sakala / Karnataka Guarantee of Services to Citizens Act, 2011. Here are the various services offered by Ration Department and the Deadlines for the same,

  • Issue of duplicate/renewal/ surrender ration cards – 7 Days by Food Inspector / Tashildar
  • Issue of licence under Karnataka Essential Commodities Licensing Order 1986, license to wholesale dealers in food grains, pulses, edible oils and kerosene – 30 Days issued by the Deputy Commissioner

  • Issue of licence under Karnataka Essential Commodities Act,1986 to Retail
    dealers in food grains, pulses, edible oils and kerosene. – 35 Days
  • Issue of authorization to run Fair Price Shops (FPS) under Karnataka Essential
    Commodities (Public Distribution system) Control Order 1992 – 30 Days
